Hull Cleaning and Anode Replacement
Dive cleaning otherwise known as hull cleaning is a convenient and cost effective method of maintaining the underside of your vessel between slipping.
In most cases all marine growth can be removed from a vessel’s hull, propellor and underwater running gear to return peak performance.
Bowline has experience cleaning racing yachts, cruisers and vessels of all kind since our inception in 2000. We use techniques approved by NSW Maritime policy to mitigate effects on our environment and adhere strictly to all Marina Contractor requirements.
Hull clean service
- Dive boat ties up along side your vessel using appropriate fending
- Divers take photos of your vessels hull before the clean
- Two divers clean your vessel whilst an attendant ensures your vessel remains safe from waves & wash whilst alongside
- Green slime is removed from the waterline taking care of your boot line
- Hull & keel surface are cleaned with a sponge
- Propellers coated with Prop-speed are given a very gentle rub down
- Metal surfaces such as propellers, trim tabs, bow thrusters, often accumulate shell growth. These areas are either scraped or water blasted until all growth removed
- Hull openings such as water intakes & sink outlets are scraped clean of internal build up
- Photos are taken of your cleaned propeller/s, hull surface & anodes
- Very dirty boats may not be able to be cleaned in water, in this case we can clean your rudder, propellers & intakes to a safe voyage can be made to a slipway!
Anode replacement
Bowline report on condition of anodes and take photos when we clean your vessel. We can replace most standard configuration anodes in water however special anodes made for sail drive and stern drive units will have to be supplied by the owner.
Dive service pricing
Generally work will be performed within 7 days of your call. Prices may vary for last minute bookings.
Minimum charge is $110 inc GST for dive work on vessels
Minimum charge is 4 hour call out for work on facilities
The hourly rate for 2 divers & attendant $330 hour inc GST
